Because we've still got significant stigma and discrimination against people who are living with HIV and with modern medication now, people can live long, healthy, happy lives with an HIV diagnosis. But unfortunately, there's a lot of discrimination and lack of education, frankly, around that. For example, 42% of New Zealanders are not comfortable having food prepared for them by somebody with HIV. Now, you cannot transmit HIV through food preparation. You know, that shows you the level of ignorance and we really welcome the fact that the government has invested in this really important campaign.
