What the picker changes
  • Top topics digest — the cards score the selected period against the prior 4 weeks.
  • 12-week heatmap & outlet matrix — show the 12 weeks ending at the selected week (they slide back with the picker, they aren’t a fixed snapshot).
  • Per-topic volume / alias drift — same 12-week trailing window, anchored on the selected period.
  • Coverage gap quadrant — scores the selected period against the 12 weeks before it (not including it).
  • Anomaly cards — only show alerts the detector fired during the selected period. Quiet weeks legitimately show none.
What stays as-is
  • Outlet orientation strip / lean colours — context-only, drawn from the last 12 weeks of activity regardless.
  • Co-occurrence graph — recent-activity anchored, not picker-driven.
  • Source & topic profiles — all-time data for the topic; the picker doesn’t affect them.
Rolling 7 days is a sliding live window for “current vibes”; switch to Weekly to compare specific weeks side-by-side.

But that's the reality. Even if you wipe out the bigger Iranian navy vessels, there are still unknown numbers of those little speedboats, some of them hiding away in sea caves or whatever. So again, a stalemate, a standoff. Trump has posted about his frustration that Iran is having a, quote, hard time figuring out who their leader is. Well, surprise, right? The US and Israelis targeted the Iranian leadership. New York Times is reporting now that Iran is run by a group of mostly generals, the Ayatollah's son, Mushtaba Khamenei, still hasn't been seen on camera or heard from directly since the initial strikes. They say messages, written messages to and from the younger Khamenei are delivered through a chain of human couriers who take a convoluted path to his hideout. He appears to rely heavily on the advice of the generals now running the country. Meantime, Trump is antsy about the politics in Washington, new polling showing that for the first time since 2010 Democrats are favoured on the economy, 52-48% while Trump's approval rating of 32% is where Bush Jr's approval was when he left office. With the midterms coming up pretty quickly, there is a lot of talk about a Trump cabinet shake-up. The Labor Secretary, DeRima, we know is out after claims of an affair with another staffer, also out Homeland Security boss Christy Noem who's been... Usually, as we know, on self-promotional campaigns while her cross-dressing hubby was taking part in supposedly sexy videos and then came Pam Bondi, the AG, another former Trump booster, now a Trump foe, former Congress member Marjorie Taylor Greene, is saying today that Trump, quote, flat out told Bondi, do not release the Epstein files.
