I also think that some groups or people or whatever who describe themselves as independent certainly aren't. I mean, they've either had massive, I mean like, what's his name? Yanis Yanopoulos there's a guy called Yanis Yanopoulos he's a horrific human being like he is a right-wing shock jock in America that says the most ludicrous things a gay man who throws the gay community under the bus constantly it's just and he's just taken a Christian angle and that's his grift at the moment he was on one of the right-wing shows it might have been Tim Pool's show and he basically just gave away the formula He said the right, this is in America, the right will be given a huge amount of money to start something up to appear as if they're big, Milo Yiannopoulos, thank you, to appear like they've got a bunch of money and they've got a bunch of listeners and viewers. And then people think they've got a bunch of listeners and viewers, so they start watching them, and then they have a bunch of listeners and viewers. So it's a fake it till you make it type thing. And there's one particular person who my audience don't want me to mention his name. It's the exact model he's done. Huge amount of money to start him off. And now it's going downhill, but that's what it was. And you look at other groups, like even the Duncan Ganners of this world. I'm not saying he's had a huge cash injection. But he has the media works brand behind him, you know, the Rover Studios and stuff behind them, the sales team for media works sells advertising into his product as well as on the radio. So, you know, even if you don't have natural injection of money, like from an investor or an angel, there's also people who speak independence but are in a corporate. sort of world to benefit from that as well so i don't know i don't know how many truly independent groups there are in new zealand at all i mean even in america i mean you look at like the kyle kalinsky's of the world i don't know who you watch out of america but kyle kalinsky he finishes all of his um his shows by saying i've never talked to a sponsor i've never talked to an interviewer advertiser Yeah, that's about as independent as you can get, I think, because then you're never responsible to anybody other than your patrons and I guess the ad revenue you get off YouTube sort of thing. So yeah, I don't know. It's interesting. It's what is independent media. I've long been the proponent that I don't care about people's bias. I don't care about having bias. I don't really care about any of that stuff as long as you're accurate. Because if you're accurate, like we obviously tell people bluntly where we sit, we call ourselves New Zealand's home of progressive news, right? And some people want to go, nah, because you're lefties. I'm like, yeah, sure. Now, where are we wrong? You know, so you can be biased, but if you're accurate, it shouldn't matter. The only difference is everyone's biased. Some people just want to pretend they're not. So. And when people kind of shoot down the RNZs and TVNZs and they think they're whatever they call them, uber woke or whatever, do you find that they're a pretty good, reliable source of accurate news for yourself?
