Yeah, I see it as a triple win. One is anything we can do to get down GP wait times and stop people going to emergency departments because they don't know where else to go is good for the wider health system and the taxpayer. Anything that we can do to ensure that patients can get the kind of care that they need faster, especially if it prevents their conditions from worsening and costing more money and giving them a tougher time later, that's great. But I also believe, and I visit community pharmacies and I've done this for many years, the days of making money from selling lipstick and shampoo are over. More and more often you'll see a pharmacy will have a consultation room where they are trying to branch out and find other ways to add value. This is something that is happening because of the underlying forces of technology and an ageing population and I think it's important that... that in any future government we're ready to back it.
