What the picker changes
  • Top topics digest — the cards score the selected period against the prior 4 weeks.
  • 12-week heatmap & outlet matrix — show the 12 weeks ending at the selected week (they slide back with the picker, they aren’t a fixed snapshot).
  • Per-topic volume / alias drift — same 12-week trailing window, anchored on the selected period.
  • Coverage gap quadrant — scores the selected period against the 12 weeks before it (not including it).
  • Anomaly cards — only show alerts the detector fired during the selected period. Quiet weeks legitimately show none.
What stays as-is
  • Outlet orientation strip / lean colours — context-only, drawn from the last 12 weeks of activity regardless.
  • Co-occurrence graph — recent-activity anchored, not picker-driven.
  • Source & topic profiles — all-time data for the topic; the picker doesn’t affect them.
Rolling 7 days is a sliding live window for “current vibes”; switch to Weekly to compare specific weeks side-by-side.

His linking in a way that no one seems to be able to understand that uh connection, that comparison between those allied crossings and migrant crossings into some parts of Europe nowadays has left people absolutely stunned. Uh his remarks did say that we're European features are now stormed by different and dangerous ideologies. Uh the this is so extraordinary because this is meant to be a time not just when we remember the the effort of those people, but also it's when you're meant to put aside everything and Franco American diplomacy, memorial diplomacy, the sort of consensual honouring of uh of diplomatic ties and military ties. For him to say this has left people absolutely stunned. The president of the commemoration committee, he said he was utterly shocked by these remarks and even wondered what exactly Pete Hagsith was trying to say, because clearly he said his morality is not the same as the people of France. Uh after these remarks by Hag Seth at the American cemetery in Normandy, uh he did a quick disappearing act, said that there was scheduling problems, and he was unable to attend the international ceremony, just a few miles down the road, which incidentally the residents of that town had said that he wouldn't be welcome there anyway because his views didn't match the democratic values of the people of that town.
