mike-hosking-breakfast Tim Costley: National MP on the probe into Fire and Emergency's fleet issues 2026-04-01 · 44s
Well, you think so. They're not difficult questions, right? Like if you take the last 35 trucks that got bought, I asked, you know, 18 months ago, how many of them are in use? I got told it's the majority. I found out a few months later, the answer is actually zero. So I asked again at the start of this year, well, how many is it now? I got told 14. Guess what? Turns out the answer is actually zero. So I said, well, hang on a minute. Come back and tell us again. And they said, well, it's 17 are in use and getting trained on and almost in use. and I said he's short 17 and they said well maybe it's actually 16 you know we've just been going around in circles that they've set their time after time and not given me the correct answer I wonder this is the leadership in the board chair that appeared before us yep
